I have a friend of a friend of a friend. He was struggling financially as was his girlfriend, customized bobbleheads, but they loved each other so they married. What she didn’t tell him until after they were married was that she had amassed over $30,000 in debt due to her penchant for luxury goods, custom bobbleheads.
I suppose she didn’t tell her husband about her debt because money is difficult to talk about in any circumstance. Money is after all, the number one source of marital fights. Still I can’t imagine holding back that kind of information under any circumstance – it’s just not fair to your spouse.
How financially honest are you with your future husband?
