Oregon State Wins By Last Second Field Goal

Arizona had upset on the mind as they hosted number 21 Oregon State.

That dream came to an end. Justin Kahut kicked and made a 24 yard field goal as time ran off the clock. Had Oregon State missed the field goal or had it blocked,personalized bobblehead, then Arizona would have preserved the win.

With Oregon State�s 19 17 win over Arizona, they have moved within one win of their first ever Rose Bowl trip in over 40 years.

Kahut made the winning field goal only a few minutes after he missed the then crucial extra point,personalized bobbleheads. Had he not missed that extra point, then the Beavers wouldn�t have put themselves in the position of getting upset on the road.

The Beavers have one more contest left in the regular season that they have to win in order to be playing in Pasadena, CA for the Rose Bowl,custom bobblehead. They have to win the Civil War against their huge in state rival Oregon today.

The Oregon State Beavers are 8 3 overall and 7 1 in the Pac 10,custom bobble head.

The Wildcats were winning 17 16 with just over a minute left in the game,personalized bobbleheads. The Beavers got the ball at their own 20 yard line with no timeouts.

On the third play, Sean Canfield who is the Beavers backup quarterback, threw the ball to Sammie Stroughter. He was wide open and the Arizona�s defense gave up the big play of 47 yards. This brought the Beavers knocking at the Wildcats door. The Beavers only had 7 yards to go to get the touchdown. You would have thought that it would be easy getting in the end zone on four tries from that distance. The Wildcats defense stiffened.

Four plays after the Beavers got the ball to the 7 yard line; they ended up kicking a field goal. Kahut calmly kicked the game winning 24 yard field goal. This sealed the Beavers comeback. This left the Wildcats heartbroken. They gave up the big play and then made up for it by holding up on defense. However, it wasn�t enough as the favored Beavers won. Had the field goal been blocked or missed, then the Wildcat faithful would have been celebrating on the field.

The defense of both teams was pretty good the first half neither team could really get in the end zone. They really only got field goals and punts during the first two quarters,,.

Arizona had the lead when Jason Bondzio threw a 27 yard pass. They were stalled when they couldn�t get past the Beavers 6 yard line.

Oregon State tied it up at 3 when Kahut kicked a 47 yard field goal, his longest of his career.

The teams made one field goal each and punted throughout the entire first half.

Oregon State maintained the momentum after halftime.

Oregon State took the lead with a touchdown with about 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter,customized bobbleheads.

Arizona answered back. They marched down field and scored a touchdown too with just seconds left in the third quarter.

Arizona scored another touchdown and Oregon State matched it but missed the extra point. That was crucial because it forced then to have to make a field goal at the end of the game (which they did) in regulation or lose to their rival.

Arizona had their chances but unfortunately they didn�t capitalize on them.
